James Guard

James is a passionate golfer and has been a student of the game for many years. James feels that his 25-year amateur background gives him a fantastic insight into what the club and pro golfer demands from a coach, and is aware of what players need to develop, learn and reduce their handicaps. Having had many lessons and training with the UK’s best coaches, James has acquired the skills, understanding and delivery to ensure each player he works with has a clear plan and pathway to improvement.

James initially realised his passion for coaching by helping his playing partners reduce their handicaps and understand “their” swings. He is now keen to pass on his knowledge to a broader audience.

As well as coaching adults of all abilities, James is Head of Junior Development and continues to help grow our award-winning junior academy programme on behalf of Growing Golf.
